This token brings together two iconic projects—Rare Pepe and Spells of Genesis—to celebrate the cultural impact of blockchain collectibles. Rare Pepe and Spells of Genesis are the foundational projects on Counterparty, a Bitcoin-layer protocol, and have shaped the very essence of early blockchain culture and art.

Just as Rare Pepe and Spells of Genesis introduced the world to the idea of digital ownership on the Bitcoin blockchain, ORBMARKET will forge new paths for innovation and community-driven markets.
Spells of Genesis (SoG), developed by EverdreamSoft, was one of the first games to integrate blockchain assets, blending arcade-style gameplay with true asset ownership on the Bitcoin blockchain via Counterparty. The first cards for the game were minted in 2015, allowing early supporters to collect and trade digital assets even before the game’s official launch in 2017.

The SATOSHICARD, the most iconic card in the Spells of Genesis collection, was minted in 2015 as a tribute to Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. This card represents the visionary spirit behind blockchain technology and has become a symbol of the fusion between gaming and blockchain collectibles. In 2021, SATOSHICARD reached notable sales of 140 ETH and 9 BTC (approximately $450,000 each), highlighting its status as a prized collectible in blockchain history.

The Rare Pepe Project, launched in 2016, quickly became a pioneering experiment in blockchain collectibles. Inspired by Spells of Genesis, Rare Pepe took the concept of digital trading cards on the Counterparty blockchain to new heights. Featuring thousands of unique, often humorous cards based on the Pepe the Frog meme, Rare Pepe were among the first art collectibles to be issued as assets on the blockchain.

The project allowed anyone to create and register their own Rare Pepe cards on Counterparty, capturing the spirit of decentralized creativity. Today, the Rare Pepe Project is recognized as a groundbreaking venture in digital art, inspiring later collectible and meme-based projects across the blockchain world.
